South has won two $25,000 doubles titles in two weeks
Mel South and Rebecca Llewellyn powered their way to the doubles title at the Nantes $25,000 event on Sunday.
The British pair thrashed German Sabine Lisicki and Frenchwoman Irean Pavlovic 6-2, 6-0 in the final.
It is the second successive $25,000 doubles title for British No.2 South, who partnered Karen Paterson to the Nottingham title before leaving for France. It is Llewellyn’s first doubles title of the year.
The duo will now travel straight to the Channel Islands to line up in this week’s $25,000 tournament in Jersey.
